Dead Defined - A Sun That Doesn’t Rise

Release Date: April/1/2022

For anyone struggling with Addiction, Mental Health, Loneliness, Relationships… this one’s for you.

‘A Sun That Doesn’t Rise’ was written on the basis of all these life hurdles that the everyday person deals with on the inside. This song goes out to all those who continue to push on in life through the pain, sorrow, and darkness. I wrote this song from life experience and hope it resonates with people from all walks of life. There can be no light without darkness. Being a Mental Health Advocate I preach positivity daily, and through the lyrics of this song I hope the listener will find some type of solace in my words.

I’m building a new hashtag to use on all social media in hopes of spreading positivity to all others who selflessly battle.

Please use #ContinueToStrive to help promote this movement.

Dead Defined - Rise and Stall

Release Date: July/30/2021

“I wanted to go back to my roots on this song, the early 2000’s hard rock type of vibes I grew up listening to. Bands like Three Days Grace, Nickelback, Papa Roach to name a few, and with those influences in mind I set to write a real banger when it came to this new release. I feel it’s one of the most creative and edgy songs I’ve written when it comes to capturing a big hooky chorus and that true American hard rock song structure that was so popular then and now. I’m excited to get this song out there and to hear the feedback, positive and negative.”

Dead Defined - Ignite

Release Date: March/12/2021

“I wanted to bend the mold of my typical four-on-the-floor percussion driven rock anthems and push the boundaries when it came to the sound and style of this tune. I like to show diversity in my writing as Dead Defined is my own solo project. I now have that freedom to do so and having that freedom to experiment by dipping into different genres is really what I love to do as of lately. You never know what the end result will be as long as you are willing to try”

Dead Defined - Lifeline

Release Date: March/6/2021

"Industrial rock ain't dead! Dead Defined are putting a modern spin on the genre, and evoking the spirit of Stabbing Westward, Depeche Mode and Econoline Crush." Soundsphere Magazine - Hull, United Kingdom (England)

The song 'Lifeline', which plays out primarily over a driving 'four on the floor' beat digs into the fragility of a relationship with someone struggling with their sobriety, taking a turn along the way. It shows the complexity of an emotional battle early on with the chorus "I could be your saviour, would you be mine, pretty misbehaviour, I will be your Lifeline". This song is very personal to Craig about his lovers recovery, the message is very powerful to not give up on ourselves or the people who are trying.
